Netflix confirms the release date of “Hellbound Season 2”

The much-awaited Netflix original K-drama Hellbound Season 2 is confirmed to premiere next month.

On  September 20, Netflix officially dropped the poster of the new season of Hellbound. Through this, it was also confirmed that the K-drama will begin airing on October 25. 

Hellbound Season 2 will be the joint project of director Yeon Sang Ho (Train to Busan and Jung_E) and writer Choi Gyu Seok.

Kim Hyun Joo, Kim Sung Cheol, Kim Shin Rok, Yang Dong Geun, Yang Ik Jun, and Lee Re will lead the thriller supernatural K-drama. 

The upcoming K-drama will depict the chaos that the ongoing hellbound decrees caused for lawyer Min Hye Jin, a member of Sodo, The New Truth Society, and the Arrowheads. It will also explore the conflict when the Society’s Chairman Jung Jin Su and Park Jung Ja were unexpectedly resurrected. The story will be depicted from the webtoon of the same name written by Yeon Sang Ho and illustrated by Choi Kyu Seok.

Director Yeon Sang Ho shared his thoughts on the premiere of Hellbound Season 2, “

Director Yeon Sang-ho, who directed and wrote the screenplay, said, “I’m very excited and nervous, and I’m looking forward to meeting the viewers after three years following Season 1. If you enjoyed the first season, the upcoming one will be a work full of interesting questions.”

The role of Chairman Jung Jin Su was first portrayed by actor Yoo Ah In in the first season. Because of his personal issues, actor Kim Sung Cheol will replace him and give life to the character of The New Truth’s Chairman. Meanwhile, actress Kim Hyun Joo will continue to portray her role as lawyer Min Hye Jin of Sodo.

Hellbound Season 2 will have a total of six episodes and it will exclusively premiere worldwide on Netflix.
