tvN’s Queen of Tears and TVING’s A Bloody Lucky Day have been nominated for the AACA (Asian Academy Creative Awards), set to be held this December in Singapore.
On September 26, the AACA organizing committee announced the list of nominees. Held annually in Singapore every December, the AACA is the largest content awards ceremony in Asia, that reviews and awards the year’s best works from the Asian content market. Works from various countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, and Vietnam, are submitted, competing in categories such as direction, screenplay, special effects, OTT, and more.
At this year’s AACA, Queen of Tears was nominated in two categories: Best Direction and Best Screenplay.
Queen of Tears tells the story of Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won), the heiress of the conglomerate Queens Group, and Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun), her husband and the legal director of Queens Group. The K-drama revolves around the couple and the challenges they face in their third year of marriage.

It also overtook all-time hits — Crash Landing on You, SKY Castle and Goblin. Queen of Tears was streamed on Netflix globally, where it garnered 682.6 million viewing hours in the first half of the year, ranking among the most popular K-dramas of the first half.
Meanwhile, A Bloody Lucky Day has been nominated in the Original Programme by a Streamer/OTT category. The K-thriller was released in 27 countries, including the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., through Paramount+.
AACA will be held from December 3-4.
