Veteran actress Kim Hye Ja and renowned actor Son Suk Ku are set to make everyone believe in love in a new JTBC K-drama.
On December 24, JTBC confirmed that Kim Hye Ja and Son Suk Ku will lead the upcoming K-drama More Beautiful Than Heaven. The broadcast channel also released a sneak peek of the upcoming K-drama featuring the two.
More Beautiful Than Heaven will tell the story of an old woman who lived happily with her husband until she died. She was always praised by her husband and even admired her beauty at the age of 80. When she was on her deathbed, she remembered her husband’s words and wanted to maintain her real age even when she went to heaven. There, she meets her husband again but he’s in his 30s version.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next collaboration work of director Kim Seok Yoon (My Liberation Notes) and writer Lee Nam Gyu (Daily Dose of Sunshine). They have also created the K-dramas Behind Your Touch and The Light in Your Eyes.
Aside from Kim Hye Ja and Son Suk Ku, the K-drama will be led by Han Ji Min, Lee Jung Eun, and Ryu Deok Hwan.
More Beautiful Than Heaven will exclusively premiere on JTBC. There is no confirmation yet on the broadcast date of the series.
This will be the grand comeback of actress Kim Hye Ja to K-dramas. The actress was last seen in the hit 2022 K-drama with Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Cha Seung Won, Lee Jung Eun, Uhm Jung Hwa, Han Ji Min, and more.
Kim Hye Ja is known for being part of the hit K-dramas Dear My Friends, Goong, Country Diaries, and more.
Meanwhile, this will be the second upcoming K-drama of Son Suk Ku. The actor will also lead the Disney+ K-drama Nine Puzzle with Kim Da Mi, Hyun Bong Sik, Kim Do Geon, Lee Joo Young, and Kim Sung Kyun.
Son Suk Ku will also join the cast of the upcoming movie Virus which will be led by Kim Yoon Seok and Bae Doo Na.
