Kim Bo Ra confirmed her first K-drama project for 2025.
On December 24, it was officially confirmed that actress Kim Bo Ra will be one of the leads of the upcoming SBS K-drama The Mantis: Original Sin.
The actress will join Go Hyun Jung and Jang Dong Yoon in the upcoming series.
The Mantis: Original Sin will depict the events that occur when a person begins murdering people in the style of a serial killer who has already been imprisoned for many years. The serial killer then asks his son, who became a police officer, to track down the new killer. The K-drama will take its story from the French series The Mantis (La Mante), which aired in 2017.
Director Byun Young Joo (Helpless and Black Out) and writer Lee Young Jong (12.12: The Day and The Flu) will work together in the upcoming K-drama.
This will be the reunion of Kim Bo Ra and director Byun Young Joo. The two worked together in the K-drama Black Out with Byun Yo Han, Go Jun, and Go Bo Gyeol.
Kim Bo Ra will portray Lee Jeong Yeon as a character. She is the wife of Jang Dong Yoon’s character Cha Su Yeol. She currently runs a pottery workshop. This will also be Kim Bo Ra’s reunion with Jang Dong Yoon as they previously worked together in the 2023 K-drama Like Flowers in Sand.
The Mantis: Original Sin will premiere in 2025. It will have a total of 8 episodes.
The Mantis: Original Sin will be the very first project of Kim Bo Ra for next year.
This year, Kim Bo Ra starred in the MBC K-drama Black Out. 2024 has also been a special year for the actress as she tied the knot with director Jo Ba Reun who created the 2021 film The Grotesque Mansion.
