Actress Jeon Yeo Been shines with charisma in her role as a member of the Korean resistance army in the new film Harbin.
Harbin is a thrilling espionage drama film set in 1909, about Korean independence activists fighting against the Japanese for Korea’s independence.
Jeon Yeo Been plays the role of Madam Gong, a member of the Korean resistance army. In the K-movie, the actress is set to showcase a new side of herself as she transforms into a resolute independence fighter.
Jeon Yeo Been shared her mindset when approaching the role, saying, “From the moment I read the script, I could feel Madam Gong’s dignity and strength. The thought of me bringing this character to life sparked a sense of challenge and anticipation. Throughout the filming, I kept asking myself, ‘What is that conviction that takes precedence over one’s own life?’ and I tried my best to capture the sincerity and passion of the independence fighters.”
Director Woo Min Ho commented, “I believed Jeon Yeo Been, an actress who exudes incredible energy, was the best choice to bring to life the character of Madam Gong.”
Harbin opens on December 25 for the domestic audience.
