“I, the Executioner” Sets a New Record, Surpassing 3 Million Moviegoers

A new record every day. 

I, the Executioner has now surpassed 3 million moviegoers as it opened its fifth day of screenings.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network for theater tickets, I, the Executioner has now attracted approximately a total of 3,151,465 moviegoers. 

The K-movie is attracting a surge of moviegoers as it is the only major film screening during the Chuseok holiday.

Actors Hwang Jung MinJung Hae InJang Yoon JuShin Seung HwanAhn Bo Hyun, and director Ryu Seung Wan thanked viewers and fans for their support.  

At this rate, it won’t be long before the film surpasses the 5-million moviegoer mark.

The sequel to the 2015 domestic box office hit Veteran, I, the Executioner is an action-crime thriller about young Detective Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In) joining the violent crime investigation team and working with veteran Detective Seo Do Cheol (Hwang Jung Min).
