Hyun Bin and Lee Dong Wook’s upcoming movie ‘Harbin’ changes its release date

The premiere date of the much-anticipated film Harbin has changed.

On December 9, it was announced that instead of the original premiere date of December 25, Harbin will be available in Korean theaters on Christmas Eve, December 24, instead. 

Set in 1909, Harbin is a film that showcases the heroic efforts of Korean independence activists as they battle against Japanese colonial rule.

The upcoming movie is directed by director Woo Min Ho who is also known for creating the films The Man Standing Next, The Drug King, Inside Men, and more. The upcoming film will be produced by Hive Media Corp. 

Harbin will be led by Hyun Bin, Park Jeong Min, Jo Woo Jin, Jeon Yeo Been, Park Hoon, and Yoo Jae Myung. 

The upcoming film is one of the most anticipated movies in theaters this winter and it has been officially confirmed that the movie will be released on December 24.

Hyun Bin will portray the role of Ahn Jung Geun, Lee Dong Wook will play as Lee Chang Seop, Park Jeong Min will be Woo Deok Soon, Joo Woo Jin will be Kim Sang Hyun, Jeon Yeo Been will be Madam Gong, and Yoo Jae Myung will portray the role of Choi Jae Hyeong. They will act as the independence fighters in the film. 

Meanwhile, Park Hoon will give life to the character named Tatsuo Mori. He is a Japanese army lieutenant who will follow the movements of the independence fighters.  

Harbin already premiered at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival last September 8. The film received great reviews from critics. Many are already anticipating if it will also be a blockbuster hit in South Korea.
