Heo Nam Jun undergoes a new transformation in When the Phone Rings.
When the Phone Rings centers around a couple — Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hui Ju (Chae Soo Bin) — in their third year of arranged marriage. Despite being together for three years, the two have neither communicated with each other nor shared a meal. They would have continued living as usual, until their lives were turned upside down by a threatening phone call.
In the K-drama, Heo Nam Jun plays the role of Ji Sang Woo, a psychiatrist who has everything from looks to a kind personality and charm. Sang Woo is acquainted with Hong Hui Ju (Chae Soo Bin), with whom he volunteered for sign language work during college.
Additionally, he is a content creator focused on the mystery genre, with 200,000 subscribers, and approaches a case he has always wanted to investigate alongside the announcer Na Yu Ri (Jang Gyu Ri), whom he met on a broadcast program.
The stills capture Heo Nam Joon’s transformation into Ji Sang Woo. One of the stills shows him intently focused on filming, with a camera and microphone in front of him, heightening anticipation for his role as a content creator.
