Former BIGBANG member T.O.P also known as Choi Seung Hyun will finally meet the Korean media to discuss his recent work, Squid Game Season 2.
Netflix Korea announced on January 10 that T.O.P who starred as Thanos and became one of the scene stealers in Squid Game Season 2 will meet with the Korean reporters at a cafe somewhere in Seoul on January 15. According to reports, T.O.P. will discuss his participation in the new season of Squid Game.
Before the K-drama premiered, the director and other cast participated in several interviews and promotions. They also revealed that T.O.P. will not participate in any interviews. However, after the K-drama premiered, T.O.P will finally face the Korean press after a long time.
While T.O.P’s inclusion in Squid Game Season 2 was met with some controversy due to his past issues, his portrayal ultimately captivated audiences. His scenes generated significant buzz, achieving millions of views and trending on numerous social media platforms.
About a month after the main cast interviews concluded, T.O.P. unexpectedly appeared on the additional interview list. Anticipation grew as everyone wondered what he would discuss in the upcoming interview, beyond his experience on the K-drama.
Squid Game Season 2 was the grand comeback of T.O.P to acting. T.O.P was last seen in the 2015 K-drama The Secret Message with Ueno Juri, Yoo In Na, Lee Jae Yoon, Shin Won Ho, and Kim Do Hyun.
T.O.P. became known as one of the members of the K-pop boy group BIGBANG formed by YG Entertainment. In 2007, he also embarked on his acting career. He is known for being part of the works Iris, Tazza 2: The Hidden Card, Commitment, and more.
He is now pursuing a solo career. T.O.P. announced his withdrawal from his group BIGBANG in 2023.
