Disney+ revealed the whole cast for their much-anticipated action thriller K-drama Tempest.
On November 28, Disney+ revealed that Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won will be joined by Kim Hae Sook, Lee Mi Sook, Yoo Jae Myung, Park Hae Joon, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Hee, Joo Jong Hyuk, Won Ji An, and John Cho.
Tempest will tell the story of a former United States ambassador now working as a diplomat named Seo Mun Ju (Jun Ji Hyun) joins forces with a mysterious special agent named Baek San Ho (Kang Dong Won) to uncover the truth behind a major international incident.
The upcoming spy romance K-drama will be the next collaboration work of director Kim Hee Won (Vincenzo and The Crowned Clown) and writer Jung Seo Kyung (Mother and The Handmaiden). The two previously worked together for the hit series Little Women.
The upcoming K-drama is confirmed to premiere in Disney+ in 2025.
Kim Hae Sook will play the role of Chae Kyung Shin, the president of South Korea.
Lee Mi Sook will be the mother-in-law of Seo Mun Ju named Lim Ok Sun. Yoo Jae Myung on the other hand will play the role of the director of the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
Park Hae Joon will give life to the character named Joon Ik. He is the husband of Seo Mun Ju (Jun Ji Hyun). The younger brother of Joon Ik will be portrayed by Oh Jung Se. He will be Joon Sang in the series.
Lee Sang Hee will be Seo Mun Ju’s longtime assistant Yeo Mi Ji in the series. Meanwhile, Joo Jong Hyuk will be Park Chang Hee, Joon Ik’s aide.
Won Ji An will play the role of Kang Ha Na. She is a mysterious character who knows the secret of Joon Ik.
Lastly, John Cho will portray the role of the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State.
