Ahn Jae Hong will reportedly reunite with Lee Je Hoon in the new season of ‘Signal’

Ahn Jae Hong will reportedly join the star-studded cast of Signal Season 2.

On December 23, media outlets reported that Ahn Jae Hong got the offer to star in the new season of Signal. According to reports, Ahn Jae Hong got the offer to portray the role first offered to actor Koo Kyo Hwan. 

Ahn Jae Hong’s agency Management MMM responded to the casting reports. They said, “Ahn Jae Hong did receive the offer to star in Signal Season 2. The actor is positively considering the offer.”

If Ahn Jae Hong confirms his participation in the series, this will be his first official upcoming K-drama project. This will also be his reunion with actor Lee Je Hoon. The two previously worked together in the Netflix original film Time to Hunt with Choi Woo Shik, Park Jeong Min, Park Hae Soo, and Lee Hang Na. 

 Ahn Jae Hong is also set to star in the upcoming film High Five with Yoo Ah In, Ra Mi Ran, Lee Jae In, Kim Hee Won, and Oh Jung Se. 

This year, Ahn Jae Hong led the K-dramas Chicken Nugget and LTNS.

Signal Season 2 will follow the events of the first season. The story revolves around detectives from the past and present who communicate through a walkie-talkie and solve long-term unsolved cases.

The upcoming K-drama will be led by Lee Je Hoon, Kim Hye Soo, and Jo Jin Woong. Actor Koo Kyo Hwan got the offer to be the new character in the upcoming K-drama and the role offered to him was also offered to Ahn Jae Hong.

Writer Kim Eun Hee (Revenant, Jirisan, and Kingdom), who created the first season will be returning to the new season. She will be working with director Ahn Tae Jin (The Night Owl). 

Signal Season 2 will reportedly premiere in 2025.
