Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin’s much anticipated K-drama is confirmed to premiere this January!

The much-anticipated sci-fi romance K-drama starring Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin has confirmed its premiere date!

On November 20, tvN confirmed that the upcoming K-drama When the Stars Gossip will officially air this January. The first episode will premiere on January 4. 

The other cast members include Oh Jung Se, Han Ji Eun, Kim Joo Heon, Lee El, and more. 

The new K-drama is the joint project of director Park Shin Woo (Lovestruck in the City, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and Hyde, Jekyll, Me) and writer Seo Sook Hyang (Jealousy Incarnate and Pasta).

When the Stars Gossip will showcase the romance of two people in a space station. An OB-GYN-turned-space-tourist and a space mission commander will meet and fall in love at a space station. This is the first K-drama that has the setting of a space station in Korea. 

The upcoming K-drama will officially premiere on January 4, 2025, at 9:20 PM KST. It will air on tvN and the global streaming platform, Netflix. 

Lee Min Ho will portray the role of Gong Ryong in the series. He is an OB-GYN who visited the space station for a few days as a space tourist. 

Gong Hyo Jin will portray the role of Eve Kim, the space mission commander at the space station. She is a perfectionist who strictly follows principles and does not tolerate mistakes in a space where high-risk situations can have severe consequences.

Oh Jung Se will be Kang Kang Soo in the series. He is a fruit fly research scientist working at the space station. He is one of the owners of a global financial company but suddenly decided to join the space station to escape. 

Han Ji Eun will portray the role of Choi Go Eun. She is Gong Ryong’s lover. She is also the only daughter of the conglomerate family Mirae Group.

When the Stars Gossip completed its filming in April 2023.
