Reasons to watch: In the first of two female-led ensemble period dramas to premiere this weekend — what a coincidence, right? — Kim Tae-ri takes the stage (or tries to) in an all-woman theater troupe. Set in post-war Korea in the 1950s, our country bumpkin heroine sees a performance and her life is forever changed. With Ra Mi-ran, Jung Eun-chae, Moon Sori, Shin Ye-eun, and Kim Yoon-hye (*gasps for air*), there is no shortage of talent in our webtoon adaptation. Our PD is known for the little drama The Red Sleeve Cuff and our screenwriter last hit success with A Time Called You. I’d say we’re in decent hands.
